Cold Processed Tallow Soap

Beef Tallow - 

Tallow resembles sebum (the oil in our skin) so distinctly that tallow is able to absorb deep into the layers of the skin. This helps to prevent dryness at the cellular level while maintaining a breathable surface, unlike petroleum based products.

Tallow is cleaned and purified fat sourced from cows. Fats, along with proteins, are essential building blocks of every cell membrane on the skin. Fats provide energy, help absorb minerals, and carry a wealth of vitamins such as:

Vitamin A 

  • Prevents sun damage
  • Speeds up healing
  • Supports skin immune system
  • Boosts skin cell regeneration
  • Anti-inflammatory- Improves skin texture and tone

Vitamin D

  • Anti-microbial
  • Anti-inflammatory
    Antioxidant that protects skin from damaging environmental toxins that cause premature aging prevent the build up of dead skin cells

Vitamin E

  • Moisturizes and hydrates skin
  • Helps soften skin
  • Works to repair and improve the appearance of damaged tissues
  • Boosts the production of collagen and elastin skin cells

Vitamin K

  • Helps protect collagen from being destroyed in the skin
  • Aids in tissue renewal and cell growth
    Helps maintain elasticity and capillary integrity of the skin
  • Helps dissipate discoloration of skin

Distilled Water - 

The ONLY water we will use in our handmade, small batch, cold processed soaps. Distilled water is a highly purified form of water that is free from impurities, minerals, and contaminants. In skincare, it serves as a gentle, non-irritating base for formulating products. 

Distilled water offers multiple benefits in skincare. Firstly, it enhances the absorption and effectiveness of active ingredients. Secondly, it minimizes the risk of skin irritation and allergic reactions. Finally, it provides a hydrating and refreshing effect, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple.

Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) -

This is an essential ingredient for handmade cold process soap.
